Explore the way in which surface treatment can transform a basic form into a personal statement through use of color texture and graphic imagery Demonstrations of many surface techniques, slides, critique and personal consultations with each participant.
NEW: PRINTING IN CLAY
A workshop dedicated to techniques for transfering image , texture and pattern to vessels and tile using slips, glaze and underglaze . Rich surfaces can be achieved simply and the technique can be translated to any firing temperature.
Demonstrations of specific monoprinting techniques I have developed using paper and clay and to transfer surface treatments to pots in various stages of the making process.
